Google Likes Longer Text Links
I got an interesting email today and it was talking about SEO (search engine optimization) and how to improve your search engine rankings with Google. One of the suggestions was to use longer trails for your anchor text. So if you have a blog and make a post that you want a high ranking for; try to use longer anchor text. The email used the example for apple pies. I’m sure apple pies is a popular keyword and gets used for anchor text a lot. Some of the suggestions were: “delicious apple pie”, “homemade apple pie”, “baking apple pies”, etc…
So if you have a keyword that is popular, you might want to try and add a longer trail to it. You need something that makes your keyword or anchor text more unique than the next person’s. SEO is all about being different, so when someone uses a little extra on their search, you can be sure they see your website come up as one of the choices. Search engines are the lifeblood of the internet and its the way most of us navigate around from one website to another. There’s always something you can be doing to get your website in a better placement on the search engines. Getting the most one way links to your website as possible and a lot of daily traffic can get your website ranked really high on Google or any of the other search engines.
