Don’t Go It Alone

Someone I have a lot of on-line contact with has been disabled and unable to work for three years now. Despite her having worked for 20 years without a break, and having paid Social Security contributions during that time, she has had an awful time getting disability insurance and has had a couple of appeals turned down.

She spoke to me at the weekend and says the situation finally has been resolved now, and she will now be getting her disability payments. She had always done exactly what it said on the government’s disability insurance website, and had not realized that there are actually companies that will help, whether you are making your first application or lodging an appeal against a refusal of your claim. These guys did all the work for her. Apparently they have a 98% success rate, and they do not take a cent unless they manage to get you what you are entitled to.

When dealing with government agencies, it is always a good idea to have someone with you who knows how it all works and can also hopefully speed up the process a bit. Endless form filling can be very tiring and confusing, particularly when you are not at your best, and these guys took all the sweat out of the process. Fighting for something to which you are entitled can be extremely frustrating and I am really glad her ordeal is now at an end, and she can relax a bit and hopefully start on the road to recovery.
