Getting HP ink
I only own one computer and I have thought about getting a 2nd one. I do a lot of things online and it’s very important that I have access to my online things. I’m not good with computers and if I have problems with my computer now, I have to take it to someone that knows how to fix it. Our printer is even starting to show sign of wear and tear. We have been replacing our HP laser jet ink cartridges more frequently which may mean that the jets are getting dirty and this may cost more than a new printer. Now this can take a couple of days sometime and it really causes a lot of problems on my end, when I don’t have access to a computer on a daily basis.
I think having a computer I could take around with me would help out a lot. I’m sure that a laptop would help meet those needs. I really don’t have the room to set up another desktop computer, so if I got a new desktop computer, it would probably just stay in the box until I was ready to use it. I do need to have an emergency back up computer, I’m just not sure if I’m willing to pay the price for a nice one, or just find the cheapest one available. I don’t think I would get a used computer, because I would like to know that my back up computer would be brand new and would last me a long time. I have friends that have 2 computers or more in their households and it’s easy to see all the benefits of owning two computers.

Moving With The Times
Both my brothers are photographers, and I recently had the opportunity to see one at work. Not that I went with him to the shoot, but when he came home I was there to see him working with the photos.
The first thing I noticed is that he did not have endless wires between his camera and the computer, as he used to before. He simply removed the micro sd from his camera and popped it into the card slot of his computer. My computer is a bit older and does not have a slot like that, so that is something for me to remember when I next upgrade my computer.
Then he went to work on the photos. He has some interesting programs that are able to alter the photos to such an extent that you would never recognize the initial photo again when you look at the end product.
Makes me wonder whether all those very pretty people I see on-line really are so pretty or whether they have been digitally enhanced.

Google Likes Longer Text Links
I got an interesting email today and it was talking about SEO (search engine optimization) and how to improve your search engine rankings with Google. One of the suggestions was to use longer trails for your anchor text. So if you have a blog and make a post that you want a high ranking for; try to use longer anchor text. The email used the example for apple pies. I’m sure apple pies is a popular keyword and gets used for anchor text a lot. Some of the suggestions were: “delicious apple pie”, “homemade apple pie”, “baking apple pies”, etc…
So if you have a keyword that is popular, you might want to try and add a longer trail to it. You need something that makes your keyword or anchor text more unique than the next person’s. SEO is all about being different, so when someone uses a little extra on their search, you can be sure they see your website come up as one of the choices. Search engines are the lifeblood of the internet and its the way most of us navigate around from one website to another. There’s always something you can be doing to get your website in a better placement on the search engines. Getting the most one way links to your website as possible and a lot of daily traffic can get your website ranked really high on Google or any of the other search engines.

Finding Security Online
I have my concerns about online security and I don’t do a lot of banking moves on the internet. It seems that everyday we come up with a new way to make our online environment more secure and the hackers come up with new ways to break the codes for the new ideas. Its a never ending process and hopefully the guys in the security business can continue to stay ahead in this environment. I work with some online payment processors like E-Gold, Pay Pal or Alert Pay, but I have found them to be very safe too. They haven’t given me a reason not to trust them yet. I don’t keep large sums of money in no place really. So a hacker going into one of my accounts would be lucky to buy theirselves a dinner at a fancy restaurant. I guess you have to have a lot of money before you can lose a lot of money. So I really don’t have much to worry about, since I am someone that just lives paycheck to paycheck.
It still amazes me to see some of the stories on the news about people and how they lost all their information to this website or this person. I think most people are aware of the dangers online and giving out too much information to any one person. I find myself around the people that are probably overly safe when it comes to online security. I guess its better to be too safe than not safe enough. Just be careful of what you do or say online and you should be able to have an enjoyable experience online in a safe manner!
